Five Things You Need To Know, Dec. 19

A look at upcoming events and activities in the Wakefield area.

Today is Wednesday, December 19th. Here are five things you need to know.

Library Hours: The Beebe Memorial Library has announced that it is closed on Dec. 24 and 25 for Christmas and on Jan 1 for New Year’s Day. The library closes at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Holiday Social: On Saturday evening, the Friends of the Wakefield High School Varsity Hockey Team have their holiday social. Click here for more information.

Holiday Concert: Tonight at 7 p.m., the Lynnfield Library hosts the Lynnfield Schools Annual Holiday Concert, featuring the LMS and LHS choral groups performing a variety of holiday songs.

Teddy Bears For Newtown: You can drop off a teddy bear to be sent to kids in Newtown, Connecticut at any of the Cervizzi’s Martial Arts locations, including the one in Post Office Square, Lynnfield. Two local teachers started the project earlier this week in response to last week’s killings in that town. To learn more, check out their Facebook page here.
