A book sale preview, a yard sale roundup, props for track stars, and an MBTA giftshop? All things to know today.

1. It's a beautiful day - don't let it get away. Today will be sunny with a high near 72 according to the National Weather Service. It will be windy, with gusts up to 32 mph.

2. Books with Friends - Tonight at the , members of the Friends of the Beebe Library get advance access to the resale goodies found at tomorrow's book sale fundraiser. Not a friend? You can become one by visiting the Friends of the Beebe website. Not a friend and don't want to join? Head to the book sale tomorrow when it's open to the public from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

3. Way to go! Twenty Wakefield High track athletes competed in the MIAA Eastern Division 3 Championship last Friday. Patty Malone (100m), Jessica Duffy (shot put), Stephen Robertson (2mile), and Brett Tassinari (200m) placed in the meet. Patty Malone and Stephen Robertson will advance to the All State Championship this Saturday at Bridgewater State. Wish them luck this weekend!

4. Tis the season for yard sales - and we've got you covered, with a giant list of yard sales going on in and around Wakefield this weekend. .

5. Love the commuter rail? The MBTA now has an online gift shop, complete with MBTA-themed kitchen appliances (truly, Orange Line cutting boards!), apparel, greeting cards and art. The store was launched as part of the MBTA's ongoing plan to raise non-fare revenue.You can even buy an MBTA Token (remember those?) necklace.
