Five Things to Know Today, Jan. 10

Where your kids can take a mock SAT for free, which town boards and committees are meeting, where to meet up with other Wakefielders for trivia, and more things to know today.

1. A (relatively) nice day - Today starts out mostly cloudy, then will gradually become sunny, with a high near 46 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. However, it could get windy, with wind gusts of up to 20 mph.

2. Today in Wakefield Sports - Girls varsity gymnastics competes at 4:30 p.m. versus Stoneham High School at home, boys varsity basketball plays Burlington at 5:30 p.m. @ Burlington, and girls varsity basketball plays Burlington at 7 p.m. @ Burlington.

3. Free SAT exam - Revolution Prep is offering a free Mock SAT exam at Wakefield High School on Saturday, January 14, 2012. If your son or daughter is interested in participating and receiving feedback, register at Revolutionprep.com.

4. Town meetings -  The Wakefield School Committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. at , and according to the agenda, they will give an update on plans for the new , and hear reports from the music department and athletics department. The Planning Board also , at 7:15 p.m. at Town Hall. They will be holding two public hearings, one on the Wincrest Property and one on 360 Audubon. The St. Jospeh's School PTO at 7 p.m. at the school. 

5. Bar trivia - Join a bunch of other Wakefielders who like to hang out on weeknights when the Wakefield Weeknights Meetup group at the . Trivia starts at 8 p.m., but get there at 7:45 to organize into teams. RSVP on the to let them know you're coming.
