Wakefield Students Welcome To Apply For Puritan Lawn Scholarships

Students in local towns, including Wakefield, are welcome to apply for 2013 scholarships from the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Educational Foundation.

The Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Educational Foundation has announced it is accepting applications from local high school seniors, including in Wakefield, for its 2013 scholarship program.

According to an announcement from the foundation, it provides financial assistance to students who may not have performed to their potential due to circumstances beyond their control. Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced extreme hardship during their high school years, yet are highly motivated to continue their education.

“Education has always been an integral part of our community outreach efforts,” said Lawrence J. Glynn, Director of the Puritan Lawn Educational Foundation. “We want to identify and recognize those students who have had to put family first and academics second throughout their high school career and help provide the momentum needed to further their education.”
