Tell Us: What Former Wakefield Business Do You Miss Most?

A new year is a time to look forward as well as back. With that in mind, is there a former Wakefield business that you particularly miss?

As we prepare to usher in 2013, one thing that changes from year to year is some of the local businesses in any given town. So that invites this question - Looking back over the past few years in Wakefield, is there a particular business that you really miss? Post your answer in the comments box below!

How about an Old Navy or a Gap in Wakefield Square? I would also like to see some retired guy have a little bike shop where kids can go to get their flat tires or broken chains fixed on their bicyles. They don't have to sell bicyles, just repair them and perhaps have new tires and accessories they can purchase. I would like to see such a store in the square or perhaps Albion street but NOT from someone's home.

there were a couple of bike shops, Bud Winters started in his Garage in Greenwood and was in 3 different spots in Wakefield over the years, Wakefield Schwinn was on either end of Albion street over the years. The problem is you can't keep the lights on fixing flats, and as long as MOm & Dad are buying the bikes at Wal Mart, the little guys will not be able to survive
