Shopping Locally With Wakefield's Etsy.com Artisans

Here's a look at the Wakefield residents who have their own shops on Etsy.com.

With less than two weeks before Christmas, people who are looking for a unique gift idea often like to look locally – including on websites like Etsy.com where creative types from Wakefield and other surrounding communities are selling a wide variety of creations - and none of it involves having to drive back up 128 or Route 1 to a mall. 

Here’s a look at some of the shops on Etsy.com that currently call Wakefield home:

Dan Noren runs WakefieldWoodworker, a master woodworker who specializes in a wide variety of produvts, including pens, dart handles, razor handles, and more. Check out his shop here

Viviane Ortis Designs specializes in handmades gifts, wall décor, photographs, custom orders, and more. Check out her shop here.

Lee Brown of Wakefield has created a variety of colorful and realistic birds, feathers and other woodcarvings, some of which can be worn as brooches. Check them out in his LeeBrownCarvings shop.

Wakefield resident Nancy Nolan is the proprietor of Nancy’s Needles, specializing in hand-sewn and hand-knit boutique quality clothing for infants, toddlers and children. Check out her shop here.

Jennifer Wenzel has some very nice 8x10 and 8x12 photos for sale in her Etsy shop, “BePhotoJennic.” Check them out here.

Peggy Nangle creates hand-crafted jewelry and other gift items in her Etsy shop, Silver Pouch. Check it out here.  

Lauren Paquette’s Etsy shop, Crochet Cuddlers, features handmade hats, blankets, toys and other items for infants and toddlers. Check it out here

Theresa Melito’s Etsy shop is called BadaBingBuyaBobble – and she specializes in vintage style jewelry and other unique earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Check out the shop here.
