Shop Local This Thursday Evening In Wakefield

Shopping geared toward both men and women in downtown Wakefield this Thursday evening.

Shop Local – Ladies Santa Wish Lists This Week and Men’s Shopping Night Dec 13th

As part of a special Shopping Day for women and men this month, the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce is encouraging the community to tap on local experience of longtime merchants for their gift giving expertise.

The Wakefield Chamber has enlisted over 25 local merchants to offer discounts or product specials for ladies’ and men’s gifts, with the late shopping night this Thursday Dec. 13th.  Participants include Naturally Yours Nutrition on North Ave. Tania’s Spa and Salon on Albion, Silver Clay Gifts, Florence’s Fashions, A Cut Above on Main St., alano’s, Balance Yoga, Sensei Louie, Mark’s Smoke Shop, PitStop BBQ of Wakefield, Harringtons, Wakefield Bowladrome and Laurie’s 9:09 Raw Bar and SteakHouse at the Train Depot, plus many more! All week, shops across town will have holiday wish lists out on their counters for ladies who may have missed Ladies’ Shopping Night, but may want to write down their shopping route with special hints on items they need, to leave for the men in their life.

Stop in to register for a free raffle for a beautiful angora sweater at alano’s thru Thursday.  Holiday Travel will have a free raffle for a chocolate shoe made by a popular chocolatier from Farmer’s Market.

Most shops will be open til 8pm Dec 13th, anchor sites include many Water Street businesses such as Wakefield Bowladrome - 5-6pm half off guys bowling with a free raffle for a Christmas Kissing Ball and  pork samplers; Sonny Noto’s $5 off a $25 gift certificate; TAC Auctioneers.com  10 percent off; Harringtons Pub guy’s special; Wakefield PitStop BBQ 2-4pm specials and Hart’s Hardware special deals. Also, North Ave Diner will have a ‘manly man’ plate offered all day, and Mark’s Smoke Shop will have a ribbon cutting and buy 2 get 1 free specials mid afternoon Dec 13th. 

Restaurants such as Brothers’ Deli on Main Street and Cravings are great places to meet friends and shop together. For those last minute gifts- a gift certificate to a Wakefield store is a great gift, easy to use and great buys are available now. Our many restaurants make the choice fun, or say it with jewelry from Lubie’s on Main St, or J’Adore on Princess, or flowers by Melinda’s at Albion Street or Parker Florist on Lincoln St.
