'Celebrate the Green' with Wakefield Businesses

Coming up on Saturday, March 16th - it's the Indoor Shopping Local Faire in Greenwood Plaza.

In March, our thoughts turn to spring, the Irish, Shamrocks and St. Patrick’s Day.  The winter is lessening its grip on New England.  Meeting our neighbors at local events sounds like fun.  The Wakefield Event Planning Committee is sponsoring such an event.  It is on March 16th in the Greenwood Plaza, 979 Main Street, and at participating merchant locations throughout Wakefield.  Admission is free so come on down for some fun!

Part of the event will be held indoors in a large 7,000 square foot building in Greenwood Plaza.  Many local merchants will be joining in the festivities.  However, there will be businesses represented from all parts of Wakefield.  The event will include children’s activities such as face painting, balloons, and a candy stop.

The Indoor Shopping Local Faire will feature food available from local restaurants, entertainment and much more.  Local merchants will have tables inside filled with their wares.  For the adults, there will be beer tasting.

Parking is available in the Plaza.  Additional free parking is also available at the Greenwood School and at the Melrose Paint which is next to the Greenwood Union Church.

So, Celebrate the Green by coming to this free celebration from 1 pm until 5 pm on Saturday, March 16th.   So, rain, snow, or sunshine, this will be a great event to meet your neighbors, eat some great food, be entertained, and meet local merchants.
