Wakefield Woman Taken Off Life Support After Sustaining Injuries In Fire

The Boston music promoter was 41 years old.

A Wakefield woman was taken off life support Friday, March 28, after sustaining serious injuries in a Fall River fire five days earlier.

Anderson Lynne Mar, 41, was a well-known musician with Sans Nomenclatur and promoter in Boston with Dark Sky Productions, as well as an instructor at the Boston School of Rock. Mar specialized in promoting goth, punk and underground music.

According to the Boston music publication Vanyaland, Mar was visiting a friend in Fall River when an accidental fire broke out in the apartment. Mar attempted to get out, but had been deprived of oxygen for several minutes. The musician was on life support, but her family decided to take her off of the machines, causing Mar to die peacefully in her sleep, according to her friend and bandmate Renee Solano.
