Wakefield Repertory Theatre Announces Auditions For 'Lucky Stiff'

Auditions are January 28 and 30 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Wakefield Repertory Theatre announces auditions for "Lucky Stiff", a musical farce by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.   "Lucky Stiff" is a zany, offbeat, and very funny murder mystery farce complete with slamming doors, mistaken identities, six million bucks in diamonds, and a corpse in a wheelchair. See www.wakefieldrep.org for more information on characters.

Auditions will be held January 28 and 30 from 7-10pm, with callbacks on February 1 from 7-10pm.  Auditions and callbacks will be held at Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon Street, Wakefield. Rehearsals will be on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays with occasional Thursday rehearsals at the same location.  The show will be presented on April 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21 at that location.

Please prepare 2 contrasting 32-bar pieces (not from the show).  Be prepared to dance and to read sides from the script which we will provide at auditions.  We also need one male actor (45-60) to play the corpse.  If you've always wanted to be on stage but get nervous at the thought of singing and dancing, this is the role for you! Please contact info@wakefieldrep.org with any questions.
