'The Voice' Recap: Wakefield's Massone's Fate Left Up to Voters

The singer from Wakefield performed on live television on Monday night - results will be tabulated for Tuesday night at 9 p.m.

Wakefield's own James Massone performed on live television on Monday night's episode of "The Voice" - and his fate now lies in the hands of voters in America and possibly, up to his coach to keep him from elimination.

On Monday night's episode, Massone crooned the soulful Norah Jones hit "Don't Know Why," to a crowd full of screaming girls, and a panel of appreciative judges.

"I almost threw my panties on the stage," said country-singer judge Blake Griffin about Massone's performance. "I'm waiting to hear the number to call, 'cause I like him."

Massone himself said that working with Cee Lo Green as his coach has helped him to develop confidence in his ability as a singer.

"With Cee Lo, my voice is maturing," Massone said. "I wasn't sure about the song, but I put a little twist on it."

"Yo, Jamie boy," said Green after his performance. "It's so cool, it’s so you, and I hope you’re so proud of yourself. The only constructive criticism is you paid maybe too much attention to the ladies ... I only wish on those higher notes you could have projected more. But I think they’re going to push you on through, so I'll see you again."

Later on in the show, singer Christina Milian pulled Massone aside to announce that he had started trending worldwide on Twitter.

"Do you have anything to say to your fans?" she asked.

"Please vote," Massone said. "And -- I love the ladies."

To vote for their favorite performer, fans can use the following methods up to 10 times each: phone, text, online or you can buy the performance on iTunes, which also counts as a vote. To vote by phone or text, 1-866-U-LOVE - (866-856-83) with the contestant's number. See here for a full list.  Massone's number is 05. See here for full voting rules.

To find out the final results, watch "The Voice" at 9 p.m. on Tuesday night on NBC.
