Last Chance to See “Bye Bye Birdie” This Weekend

Performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church.

This weekend is closing weekend for Wakefield Repertory Theatre’s production of “Bye Bye Birdie”, one of the most captivating musical shows of our time.  Performances are this Friday and Saturday 29 at 8:00pm and Sunday at 3:00pm.  The show will be presented at Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon Street, Wakefield and features local teens and adults.

In the show, Conrad Birdie, an Elvis Presley type, will bid a typical American teen-age girl goodbye before he joins the Army, with an all-American kiss.  His visit to Sweet Apple, Ohio and the home of Kim MacAfee and her family, throws both the family and the town into turmoil.  The show features a number of well-known songs, including “Put on a Happy Face” and gives an insight into the everyday life that is very much part of us all.

Tickets are $18.00 Adult; $16.00 Student/Senior and can be purchased online at http://www.ticketstage.com/WRT or by calling (781) 245-1173.
