James Montgomery Band Performing at Wakefield's July 4th Celebration

Thanks to the West Side Social Club for providing this information.

The James Montgomery Band returns to Wakefield on July 4th as guests of the Wakefield Social Club 4th of July Committee to celebrate Independence Day in what promises to be one of their biggest shows ever!  The event will be a combination of a re-union with the WSSC, one of the band’s favorite groups to work with, and a Wakefield CD release party.

The Montgomery band has recently released a new CD “From Detroit To The Delta” that features Johnny Winter, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford from Aerosmith, James Cotton, The Uptown Horns, and rapper DMC from RunDMC.  The July 4th concert will be the first time the CD will be available in Wakefield.

Montgomery started working with the WSSC 4th of July Committee years ago and is very excited about returning to Wakefield on the 4th.   “I absolutely love this group and the Town of Wakefield” Montgomery said, adding “We have missed playing the Lower Commons on the Holiday and can’t wait to party with all the great people that attend this event!”
