Rise Up Singing

Rise Up Singing takes place on the third Friday of each month at 7:30 PM in the Social Hall of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield located at 326 Main Street. Rise Up Singing is a sort of “round robin” singing circle, inspired by but not limited to the Rise Up Singing book. Singers and instrumentalists of all ages are welcome to this informal and spirited evening of shared music making. Participants come from Wakefield, Reading, Stoneham, Saugus, Melrose and beyond. Bring your singing and picking friends. Songs of all genres are welcome, whether or not they are among the 1200 songs included in the book. No music reading ability is needed. Bring a copy of Rise Up Singing if you have one.  Some copies will be available for those who don’t have their own. Rise Up Singing thanks the Wakefield Cultural Council for their recent grant which allowed for the purchase of more copies of the book. Free Will Offering. We encourage you to bring non-perishable food or a reusable grocery bag for the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. Rise Up Singing is lead by professional singer and minister of the church, Reverend Maddie Sifantus. For more information, email Reverend Maddie minister@wakefielduu.org or leave a message on the church answering machine (781-245-4632).
