Date For 6th Annual Blossoms at the Beebe Event Announced

The 6th annual Blossoms at the Beebe event, with a Great Gatsby theme, is Saturday, April 27th.

Mark your calendars for the 6th annual Blossoms at the Beebe, a Great Gatsby-era celebration with flowers, silent and live auctions, tastings and music to benefit the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library and the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, April 27th.

The two organizations will join together to sponsor the event from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Library, located at 345 Main Street in Wakefield. Proceeds from the event will go to the Beebe Book Fund and the Chamber’s community and civic projects.

“This year we wanted a different theme to our event and we will celebrate the Great Gatsby- era,” Blossoms at the Beebe Chair Susan Wetmore said.  “There will be new features to the event, and we’re excited to showcase the glamour and uniqueness of that era. If folks want to dress in the era, we would welcome that, too. Watch the website www.blossomsatbeebe.com for more updates”

The evening event will feature creative flower displays designed by local florists and floral enthusiasts. A variety of Gatsby-era cocktails, wine and beer will be featured during the tasting, with hors d’oeuvres, music on both levels of the library and a cash bar. All who attend the Saturday evening event must be 21 years or older.
