Wakefielders Participate in Nationally Televised Mass

Rev. Ron Barker of St. Joseph's presided over recent mass that aired on CatholicTV network.

The following was provided by Catholic TV: 

On Friday, August 16,  Rev. Ron Barker, Pastor at St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield, presided at Mass in the CatholicTV studios in Watertown.  The daily Mass airs live each day at 9:30AM and is rebroadcast at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. the same day.

Mr. Kevin Baril served as lector and Nick Scarpello was the altar server, Nick is an incoming 7th grader at the parish elementary school. Father Barker was ordained  for the Archdiocese of Boston in 1975 and  leads the active parish of St. Joseph;, the parish recently hosted a Kingdom Rock Vacation Bible School which is featured on the recent parish bulletin http://stjosephwakefield.org/bulletin_this_week.pdf.

The daily Mass is carried on the ION Network channel 68 in Boston and on CatholicTV cable outlets in across the US and all programming streams live at CatholicTV.com 24/7

The Mass is added to the CatholicTV.com archives by the evening of the same broadcast day. The daily Mass takes places in The Chapel of the Holy Cross (so named because the chapel has a small relic of Jesus’ cross). The Daily Mass is also downloadable for free at iTunes.com
