Angel Fund Raising Money for ALS Research in August

A fundraiser for ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease, is coming up in August.

The Angel Fund, based in Wakefield, is holding its 13th annual fundraiser gala at Venezia on Aug. 3 to raise money for ALS research, according to an article on Boston.com

In addition to the general fundraiser, the Angel Fund is also holding a silent auction at the event.

The funds will go toward research into ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, at UMass Medical Center's Cecil B. Day Laboratory for Neuromuscular Research in Worcester.

Tickets to the fundraiser are $125 per person. ALS is more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
