WMGLD Collecting Bedding for Mission of Deeds

The Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department (WMGLD) is collecting new twin and full-size sheets, pillows, blankets and bedspreads for people in need through a partnership with Mission of Deeds, a Reading-based nonprofit organization that provides furniture and housewares without charge to individuals and families in northeastern Massachusetts. This is the 10th consecutive year that the WMGLD has participated in the program.

The WMGLD will be accepting donations of bed linens and monetary donations at its 480 North Avenue office through early January, according to WMGLD Electric Superintendent and collection coordinator Dan Flynn.

“The WMGLD is grateful to its customers and staff who have always been very generous in making a donation to Mission of Deeds,” Flynn said.  “Unfortunately, the need for bedding is greater each year.”
