Wakefield Rotary Donates Funds to Beebe Library

The Wakefield Rotary Club recently donated funds to purchase a new iPad for the Beebe Library. Library Director Sharon Gilley explained, "The iPad will allow us to develop a collection of iBooks, which are books specifically written for iPads that  incorporate sound, touch, software, and the internet to tell stories and provide information in new ways. They are finding new ways to address various learning differences, as well." Club President Bob Mailhoit continued, "Our club is always happy to help the library. Our members see literacy as a vital component to a healthy community."
