WAKEFIELD MUNICIPAL GAS & LIGHT DEPARTMENT

The 2014 Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department (WMGLD) calendar is now available at the WMGLD business office at 480 North Avenue, Wakefield while supplies last. This is the 28th year that the WMGLD has produced the historic calendar for its customers.

            This year’s calendar contains historical photographs from the past, including a visit from Hollywood stars in 1951, the Col. James Hartshorne House in 1930, a picture taken from Melvin Street of the Wakefield Rattan Factory in the 1880s, and the Wakefield Police Department in front of its new headquarters in 1950.

The calendar also provides tips on how to save energy throughout the year.

Due to the limited number of calendars printed, only one calendar will be distributed per WMGLD customer family or business, while supplies last.
