The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield will Host 2nd annual Jazz Brunch

The Scholarship Foundation (TSF) of Wakefield, formerly Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield, will host the 2nd annual jazz brunch on Sunday, February 9th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham.

“Last year’s event was a great success, and early response indicates that this year will be another sell-out,” TSF of Wakefield President Faith Hodgkins said. “We welcome everyone to join us on February 9th to enjoy a leisurely Sunday brunch and music provided, once again, by the JACK Band.”

The JACK Band, a Boston based jazz/funk group delighted last year’s attendees. The group has been playing together since the fall 2010. The quartet, comprised of Berklee College of Music alumni, includes Joel Hill on piano, Alex Labrie on guitar, Casey Andersen on bass, and Kevin McGowan on drums. Their diverse repertoire ranges from jazz standards to classic funk/R&B tunes. Whether it's Charlie Parker or James Brown, the JACK band delivers a high quality performance with great energy.  The group has played at weddings, cocktail hours, clubs, hotels, private parties, and jazz bars.
