Thank You to the Voters and all Involved!

I want to acknowledge and thank the following groups; Shelter Development, LLC, Fraen Corporation, Wakefield Co-Operative Bank, The Wakefield Savings Bank, Wakefield Cable Access Television, The Daily Item, The Wakefield Observer, the Wakefield Patch and The Boston Globe. I also want to thank the professionalism and service of all Town staff and the Selectmen for providing the community the February 6 Town Meeting, the March 24 Forum, and April 1 Election.  My deepest thanks go to the many dedicated and passionate volunteers who took the lead on many efforts, not limited to research, publishing letters, obtaining the required signatures for the petition, installing lawn signs, making phone calls, and reaching out to members of the community in person. My goal was to petition the government to allow all registered voters to decide if they wanted the Selectmen to convey the town parcel for the purposes of building a parking garage. That process was an extraordinary and inspiring experience for me and many others. Along that path, I rediscovered that we are all fortunate to share the great community we call Wakefield.
