Rotary Announces $10k Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Wakefield is happy to announce a competitive $10,000 scholarship to be awarded to a high school senior who is perusing higher education. The award, funded by Rotary District 7930, serves to recognize an outstanding high school senior who has demonstrated his/her commitment to Service Above Self in his/her town, school or community. It is designed to encourage the recipient to dedicate his/her personal and professional life to improving the quality of life of people in his/her local community and beyond.

Potential applicants will be interviewed by the Wakefield Rotary Club and one applicant will be submitted to a final pool of applicants to be considered by the District. Children and grandchildren of Rotarians are not eligible. Potential applicants should contact their high school guidance counselors or contact Shibu James at wakefieldrotaryclub@yahoo.com for more information.

Applications must be submitted to the Wakefield Rotary Club by May 1, 2014.
