Sewing Guild: On Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Boston Chapter of the American Sewing Guild holds a chapter meeting at the First Baptist Church in Wakefield, on 8 Lafayette Street.

The health department will hold a seasonal flu clinic on Tuesday, October 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the West Side Social Club, 4 Harrington Court. Another upcoming clinic in Wakefield is Thursday, October 17 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the McCarthy Senior Center, and Wednesday, October 23 at Galvin Middle School from 7 to 8 p.m. Vaccine is $10 for those without one of the accepted insurances.
