Various Events Coming Up In Wakefield

Today is Tuesday, November 5. Here are five things worth knowing today.

Wakefield DPW has announced curbside leaf and yard waste collections on Saturday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 23. All containers must be curbside by 7 a.m., with leaves and grass placed in biodegradable paper bags or barrels. Branches must be tied in bundles, no larger than 3 feet long and 16 inches in diameter. No plastic bags accepted. Call 781-246-6301 for information.

Help the Saugus River Watershed Council keep local waterways clean this Sunday Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. with a pizza and comedy night. $25 per person. More information at this link.

This Friday, Nov. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the First Parish Congregational Church holds its annual holiday fair. Click here for more information.
