Try Tai Chi Tonight at the Beebe Library

Paul and Rosalie DiCrescenzo offer a “Try Tai Chi” presentation tonight at the Beebe Library, 7 p.m. Ages 16 plus. This includes a slide presentation as well as an introductory lesson.

Town Business: The Wakefield School Committee meets at the WCAT Studio tonight at 7 p.m.

Walks With The Superintendent: As noted earlier this month on Wakefield Patch, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stephen Zrike is holding walks around Lake Quannapowitt where parents and town residents can talk to him about school issues. The following is a list of his remaining scheduled walks:

Thursday, September 26 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Thursday, October 3 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday October 10 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Thursday October 17 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 24 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

This Sunday at 8 a.m., Melrose Boot Camp and the Wakefield XCountry and Track & Field Boosters have teamed up for a benefit bootcamp fundraiser. Suggested donation is $10. Click here to learn more.

Nazareth Academy has announced admissions open houses on Sunday, Sep. 29 from noon to 3 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 7 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Open houses begin in the academy’s great hall at 27 Cordis Street, Wakefield. To register in advance click here.
