Tour of Former Pleasure Island Amusement Park Site Coming Up

Today is Tuesday, October 15. Here are five things worth knowing today.

On Sunday, October 20 at 10 a.m., local author and historian Bob McLaughlin and the Friends of Pleasure Island will hold a tour of the former Pleasure Island amusement park site – now known as the Edgewater Office Park on Audubon Road. Learn more about it here.

The Wakefield Walk to Defeat ALS is this Saturday, October 19 at 10 a.m. at Lake Quannapowitt. Information about getting involved and/or making a contribution is available at this link

Wakefield Selectmen meet tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at the WCAT Studios. The agenda can be viewed at this link on the town website.

Looking ahead to Saturday, October 26 at 10 a.m., Officer Meaghan Leary of the Wakefield Police Department will give a talk for kids aged 4 and up on staying safe during the Halloween season.
