Phil Sheridan Kids' Concert, Jazz Concert and More This Weekend

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Friday, January 17. Here are five things worth knowing today.

Saturday, January 18 at 10:30 a.m., Peter Sheridan returns to the Beebe Lbrary for a sing along concert for kids. Wakefield residents can pick up tickets this week in person at the youth desk. Non-Wakefield residents can get tickets if available the day of the show. Other upcoming performances at the library include Feb. 8 and March 15. 

The Wakefield Department of Public Works has announced a drop-off date later this month for televisions and computer monitors.The scheduled CRT drop-off is Saturday, January 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Nahant Street Yard Waste Site. Wakefield residents must get a sticker for $20 for each television or monitor from the DPW office in Town Hall (1 Lafayette Street). For questions, call the DPW at 781-246-6301.

On Saturday, January 18 at 8 p.m., Betty’s Bounce, playing music in the style of Django Reinhardt, plays at Temple Emmanuel, 120 Chestnut Street in Wakefield. Tickets at the door $15 for adults, $10 for under 13.
