New Year's Day Brunch at Whole Foods, Kids' Party Tues. Morning at Library

Today is Tuesday, January 31. Here are five things worth knowing today.

The Beebe Library is having a New Year’s party for kids aged 6 to 10 on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Bring the kids by for games, including Dance Dance Revolution, crafts, and more.  Speaking of the library, they close at 1 p.m. Tuesday and will reopen Thursday at 9 a.m. for regular hours.

The Wakefield Chamber of Commerce is having a ribbon cutting event on Wednesday, January 8 for new member Razzle. Stop by between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. and meeting owner Kimberly Bertocchi of the studio, featuring “art you wear” for kids, parties and more. Click here to learn more.

Whole Foods at MarketStreet Lynnfield reports its having a New Year’s Day brunch on January 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Container Room. Cost is $10 per person and menu items include panettone French toast or quiche with sausage or bacon and citrus salad with champagne dressing, plus a champagne and fruit juice “bubble bar.”

Town Administrator Steve Maio has announced that his public office hours for the month of January are: Monday, Jan. 6 from 2 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Jan. 16 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and Thursday, Jan. 30 from 3 to 4 p.m. Those who need to schedule a meeting at another time can email smaio@wakefield.ma.us.
