Library's Books Group Meets Tonight

Today is Wednesday, September 18. Here are five things worth knowing today.

The Beebe Library’s Books by the Lake group meets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the library lecture hall. Topics are When Everything Changed by Gail Collins and Girls Like Us by Sheila Weller.

Next Wednesday, September 25, Aminda Monteagudo of Hallmark Health is at the McCarthy Senior Center at 30 Converse Street to talk about Obtaining Affordable Health Services. Call 781-245-3312 to register.

Community Art Show: The Friends of Lake Quannapowitt are holding a community art show later this fall at the Americal Civic Center. The show opens Nov. 8 and members of the community are invited to submit a variety of media. Click here for complete information.

The Acting Locally group at Wakefield’s Unitarian Universalist Church downtown will kick off with an inaugural 100-mile potluck event on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. All ingredients in the dish must be used with ingredients sourced within 100 miles of Wakefield. Click here to learn more
