Forum With Superintendent Scheduled For Tuesday

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Tuesday, December 17. Here are five things worth knowing.

Wakefield Superintendent of Schools Stephen Zrike has scheduled a forum for tonight at 8:30 p.m. in the Woodville Library to review his findings from his first few months in the district. Another forum is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15 at 8:30 p.m. in the Dolbeare Library.

A Topping Out Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m. for the Galvin Middle School project. Speakers will include Jack McCarthy, executive director of the Massachusetts School Building Authority.

Coming up this Saturday, December 21 at 10 a.m., the Beebe Library presents a sing along with Peter Sheridan for children ages 5 and under. Free tickets required – Wakefield residents can get them at the youth desk at the library, nonresidents can get them on a space available basis the day of the show.

Coming up Friday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m., there’s a Winter Solstice Celebration at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 326 Main Street, featuring music, readings, and more. Click here to learn more.
