Forum On Proposed Alcohol Sales Regulations This Morning

This morning at 10 a.m., the Wakefield Board of Health holds a community forum on draft regulations for the sale of alcoholic beverages in town. Those who cannot attend are welcome to provide comments to the board of health at boardofhealth@wakefield.ma.us or 781-246-6375.

Wakefield’s Town Meeting is Monday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Galvin Middle School auditorium. The complete text of the town warrant and financial report can be viewed at this link on the town website.

On Sundays in November, Breakheart Reservation hosts “Ranger Dan’s Nature Walks” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The hikes reportedly go at a gentle, family-friendly pace. Meet at Dunne Visitor Center, Breakheart Reservation, 177 Forest Street, Saugus.

The Beebe Library has an upcoming “Keep Me Safe” storytime series for kids aged 3-5, focusing on teaching them how to avoid potentially dangerous and abusive situations. The series runs on either Wednesdays or Saturdays starting the first week of November. Click here to learn more.

William C. Sano, an area musical educator, conductor and pianist and organist, will return to the Old Meeting House on Lynnfield Common for a new lecture series entitled “Sisters Who Sing.” Sano’s latest lineup will run Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon with The Andrews Sisters on October 31, The McGuire Sisters on November 7, the Lennon Sisters on Nov. 14 and The Supremes on Nov. 21.
