Food Drive Saturday, Harrington's Road Race Monday

Today is Wednesday, October 9. Here are five things worth knowing today.

This Saturday, October 12, the Beebe Library has a food drive at the Americal Civic Center from 10 a.m. to noon to benefit the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. Checks made payable to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry are also accepted. Visit www.wifoodpantry.org to learn more about this Wakefield institution.

This Monday, October 14 at 10 a.m., it’s the 3rd annual Harrington’s 5K Road Race, to benefit the Wakefield High School Cross Country and Track and Field Boosters. There’s also a one mile fun run for those 14 and under at 9:30 a.m. Click here to register and to learn more.
