District Attorney to Lead Program For Seniors

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Thursday, November 7. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan gives a program teaching seniors how to avoid becoming victims of crimes like identity theft, scams, and more. November 12 at 11 a.m. at McCarthy Senior Center, 30 Converse Street. Call 781-245-3312 to register. 

St. Joseph’s Church in Wakefield has announced a fashion show and luncheon event coming up Saturday, November 9 from 1 to 2 p.m. Event sponsored by several area businesses, including Rada Boutique in Wakefield. Next Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m., Jeremy D’Entremont, author of Lighthouse Handbook: New England speaks at the Beebe Library.

William C. Sano, an area musical educator, conductor and pianist and organist, will return to the Meeting House for a his lecture series entitled “Sisters Who Sing.” Sano’s lineup runs Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon with The McGuire Sisters on November 7, the Lennon Sisters on Nov. 14 and The Supremes on Nov. 21.
