Couple of Coffeehouse Concerts on the Calendar

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Friday, December 27. Here are five things worth knowing today.

Bluegrass band Southern Rail performs at the next Linden Tree Coffeehouse event at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Main Street in Wakefield – Friday, January 11 at 8 p.m. Click here to learn more.

Speaking of coffeehouse concerts,, on the second and fourth Friday of the month, the Lynnfield Community Church at 735 Salem Street hosts a coffeehouse style concert. Tonight from 7:45 to 9 p.m., Bob and Jenn Strom are the performers. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Free will donation for the performers.

The Beebe Library has announced that next week, it is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday for New Year’s Eve, and closed on Wednesday for New Year’s Day. 

The library also recently announced that it now has most Wakefield High School yearbooks online dating back to 1907. A handful of yearbooks are still missing from the early ‘60s and some scattered years in the early 20th Century. Click here to learn more.
