Children's Storyteller at Library This Morning

This morning at 10:30 a.m., children’s storyteller Alicia Quintano is at the Beebe Library in downtown Wakefield with stories for kids in grades 1-4. No signup required.

Blood Drive: The Red Cross has announced that its next blood drive in Wakefield is Friday, September 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheraton on 1 Audubon Road.  

Whole Foods holds its traditional bread-breaking ceremony at 9:45 a.m. at the new MarketStreet Lynnfield store. The rest of the businesses begin to open on Thursday and will continue to do so into the fall.

Coming up on Friday, September 13, the Pinnacle Invitational Golf Tournament will benefit local nonprofit Gathering Change, which helps support local food pantries. Click here for more information about registration and the day’s planned activities.
