Annual Walk for Hope for ALS Coming Up In Less Than Two Weeks

There’s a house hazardous materials collection day on Saturday, September 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wakefield High School. Reading and Wakefield residents only – bring driver’s license. No commercial waste. Call the Wakefield DPW at 781-246-6301 for more information.

The 12th annual Walk of Hope for ALS is coming up on Saturday, September 7 around Lake Quannapowitt. Registration is 9 a.m., and the walk is at 11 a.m. To learn more about this event, click here.

Laurie’s 9:09 restaurant on 33 Tuttle Street reports that it will participate in North of Boston Wine Week Sunday, September 8 through Sunday, September 15 (closed Monday). Honeydew Donuts, which has two locations in Wakefield, reports on its website that it will open its new location at 386 Main Street in the downtown area in late September.
