Annual Run/Walk for Boys and Girls Club Coming Up

Today is Tuesday, October 1. Here are five things worth knowing today.

Coming up on Saturday, October 12 at 9 a.m., it’s the 11th Annual Walk/Run for the Club, to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. Click here for more information, including registration.

Wakefield Repertory Theatre presents “Meet Me in St. Louis” this weekend. Shows are Friday, October 4 at 8 p.m., Saturday, October 5 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, October 6 at 3 p.m. Click the above link for more information.

You can help support the Wakefield High School cheerleaders on October 3 by dining at the Dockside Restaurant, 1099 Main Street in Wakefield, between 6 and 9 p.m. The cheerleaders will receive 25% of dine-in and takeout sales.

The health department will hold a seasonal flu clinic today from 10 to 11 a.m. at the West Side Social Club, 4 Harrington Court. Another upcoming clinic in Wakefield is Thursday, October 17 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the McCarthy Senior Center, and Wednesday, October 23 at Galvin Middle School from 7 to 8 p.m. Vaccine is $10 for those without one of the accepted insurances.
