News & Views offers the opportunity to express opinions and become better informed in a friendly atmosphere. It’s a “drop-in” program, but we’d love to know you’re coming, so feel free to sign up by clicking any or all of the following meeting dates: Jan. 14, Jan. 28, Feb, 4, Feb. 25, March 4, March 25, April 8 and April 22 All meetings at 7 p.m.
News & Views is sponsored by the Friends of Beebe Library and will be moderated by Peggy Dillon, an Assistant Professor of communications at Salem State University. Dr. Dillon has written hundreds of articles for newspapers and magazines and is the author of “Seeking the Greatest Good: the Public Welfare Foundation.”
As moderator, it will be Dr. Dillon’s role to prepare the topics for each meeting, provide some background information and keep the discussion moving. We hope you’ll join us!

Originally built in 1922, the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library, named after the first chairman of the Board of Library Trustees, has undergone several expansions and renovations over the years. The library has thousands of books, CDs and DVDs for use to the general public, and offers a wide array of adult, young adult and children's programs. The library also serves as a meeting place for support and community groups.
