Midwinter Meditation Retreat

One of the events of the Bicentennial Year of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield is a special Meditation Retreat we will host in the Social Hall of our church on Saturday, January 26 from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Join Rev. Maddie, Rev. Ralph Galen and Andrew Furst of the Meditation of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading as well as members of our meditation group, Reading and others for a day of spiritual practices including Qigong, walking meditation, singing meditation, Vipassana (Mindfulness) meditation and more.

 We will share a potluck vegetarian lunch; please bring something to share. Free will offering.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield opens each year on the Sunday after Labor Day, welcoming people of all religious backgrounds. The church building itself, located in the center of town facing the town common, was built in 1813 and serves as the town's oldest still-standing building. The church and its members are active in the community both by participating in food drives and volunteerism.
