 nterest in local history. In their book\,&nbsp\; they selected images fr
 om private collections and public archives tracing Breakheart Reservatio
 n&lsquo\;s history from its natural origins through colonial settlement 
 and use as a private resort to a public park of extraordinary beauty.Com
 prising over 600 acres of woodlands\, wetlands and hilly terrain\, Break
 heart Reservation began as a parcel of common land awarded to new settle
 rs arriving in Saugus in the early 1700s. Today\, it is considered a gem
  in the Massachusetts state park system. Simcox and Heath trace the park
 &rsquo\;s history from its days as a private hunting retreat through its
  years as a camp for the Depression era Civilian Conservation Corps to i
 ts transformation into a recreational area.\nThe authors will be happy t
