Wakefield Repertory Theatre announces auditions for "Lucky Stiff", a musical farce by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.  The show will be directed by Samantha Gambaccini and music directed by Shawn Gelzleichter.  The show will be co-produced by Monica Bruno and Richard Mitrano.  "Lucky Stiff" is a zany, offbeat, and very funny murder mystery farce complete with slamming doors, mistaken identities, six million bucks in diamonds, and a corpse in a wheelchair. 

The story revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently-murdered Atlantic City uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing Uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000. Auditions will be held January 28 and 30 from 7-10pm, with callbacks on February 1 from 7-10pm.  Auditions and callbacks will be held at Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon Street, Wakefield. Rehearsals will be on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays with occasional Thursday rehearsals at the same location. The show will be presented on April 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21 at that location. 

Please prepare 2 contrasting 32-bar pieces (not from the show).  Be prepared to dance and to read sides from the script which we will provide at auditions.
