Wind Was Culprit In Reported Vandalism, Break-In

Information provided by the Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, January 31, 2013.
At 8:47 a.m. a woman walked in to report a stolen wallet.
At 1:45 p.m. an accident was reported on Salem Street.
At 3:56 p.m. a caller on Avon Street reported that someone had damaged her fence. Further investigation found it was probably caused by wind.
At 4:21 p.m. a caller reported a damaged motor vehicle on the Quannapowitt Parkway.
At 7:28 p.m. a caller reported a possible in progress break-in on Main Street. Further investigation found it was the wind banging the door around.
At 7:51 p.m. police took a report of fraud.
At 8:50 p.m. an officer reported finding a debit card in the Savings Bank ATM on Main Street.
At 1:35 a.m. Friday police arrested Jose W. Tejada, 36, 70 Franklin Ave., Chelsea, for OUI liquor and a red light/stop sign violation.
