Wheels Stolen, Car Left Behind

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012.
At 9:42 a.m., a caller on Bay State Road reported the wheels were stolen from a vehicle during the night.
At 12:13 p.m., a gas station attendant on Water Street reported that a customer left without paying for gas. An officer located the driver, who returned to pay the bill and who determined that the matter appeared to be an oversight.
At 3:05 p.m., a caller reported that two dogs had been locked in a car on Lowell Street for a half hour with the windows rolled up.  The vehicle left before arrival, but an officer contacted the driver and was told the dogs were OK.
At 5:20 p.m., state police, Action Ambulance and the fire department responded to an accident near Exit 39 on 128 North.
At 10:21 p.m., a caller reported two suspicious individuals hanging around near Vernon Street and Aborn Ave. They checked out OK.
At 10:58 p.m., a caller reported seeing several armed males take a woman into a building on Main Street, and then hung up. Police checked the area but nothing out of the ordinary was spotted.
At 11:07 p.m., an officer pulled over a driver who had initially not stopped until driving over the Reading line. Police issued a summons to a 26 year old Billerica man for operating with a suspended license, subsequent offense, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
