What's Up Wakefield? November 13

Saturday Night Ski and Snowboard signups coming up later this month. This weekend, 10-Minute Plays at the high school.

 

Good morning. Here are some things worth knowing in Wakefield this Tuesday, November 13, 2012.

Ski/Snowboard Signups: Signups for the Wakefield Saturday Night Ski and Snowboard Group are on Monday, November 26 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Americal Civic Center, 467 Main Street. Skiing is for grades 2-12 and snowboarding is for grades 3-12. The program runs six weeks on Saturday nights from January 5 through February 9 at Nashoba Valley. 10 Minute Plays: This Friday and Saturday (Nov. 16 and 17), Wakefield High School Theater Arts presents “An Evening of Ten Minute Plays,” starting at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students, with tickets available at the door. There is also a collection of canned Thanksgiving goods at each performance for local food banks.

Free Car Wash For Veterans: Flo’s Auto Bath at 237 Water Street in Wakefield reports that it is offering veterans a free car wash this week, through Sunday, November 18. Just bring your military ID card and show it to the attendant. Call 781-621-8171 for more information.

Office Hours: State Senator Katherine Clark has announced that her next constituent service hour in Wakefield will be Friday, November 16 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Wakefield Council on Aging, 30 Converse Street.
