The current storm:
- More Snow: Up to 14 Inches: Heavy, Icy Mix Threatens to Damage Roofs and Down Power Lines.

Forecast:
Snow Emergency:
- The town of Wakefield has announced a snow emergency to be put in place from Tues., Feb. 1 at noon through Thurs, Feb 3 at 10 a.m. For more information, read this article.
Snow Emergency Parking Restrictions:
- In addition to the already in-place overnight winter parking ban in town, during a snow emergency parking ban there shall be NO PARKING at any time on any streets except by public safety vehicles and private utility repair vehicles. Also, no vehicle shall be parked or positioned in such a manner as to interfere with the snow removal or sanding operation. Any vehicle in violation of this section shall be ticketed and may be towed at the expense of the owner.
Schools:
- Wakefield Public Schools have been canceled for Feb. 2.
- St. Joseph's School has been canceled for Feb. 2.
- Afternoon pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs have been cancelled.
- Wakefield Academy has been cancelled.
- The Beebe Library will remain closed from 3 p.m. on Feb. 1 to 10 a.m. on Feb. 3.
Other Cancellations and Closings:
- All Wakefield high school sports scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled.
- The Advisory Board of Public Works Meeting has been cancelled.
