UPDATED: Wakefield Police Seek Stolen Vehicle Connected To Break-Ins
A grey 2012 Mazda 6 reported stolen out of Chelsea has been linked to some area break-ins.
Wakefield Police and other area law enforcement agencies report that they are seeking a stolen 2012 gray Mazda 6 in connection with some recent break-ins.
In an email Friday, Wakefield Police confirmed that the gray 2012 Mazda 6 (Mass. Registration # 88ZR77) is linked to a recent break-in on June Circle, as well as another Thursday on Harding Road and an attempted one on Mount Pleasant.
The Harding Road break-in was reported early Thursday afternoon and at least one television was among the items taken. Earlier that morning, a caller on Mount Pleasant had informed police that they interrupted the attempted break-in. In the Mount Pleasant incident, Wakefield Police report that the suspects tried to pry open a back door, but apparently fled upon realizing that somebody was home.
The suspects may also be connected to a house break-in that took place in Malden on Thursday. However, Wakefield Police also clarified that these suspects are not the same people being sought in connection with armed robberies in Melrose and some other nearby towns.
Police add that the 2012 Mazda 6 is reported stolen out of Chelsea and that two male Hispanic suspects, both about 6 feet tall with thin builds, are thought to be driving it.
