Video: Inmates Working on Community Projects in Wakefield
Several inmate work crews will be working in Wakefield for the next two weeks as part of the Community Works program through the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office.
Inmate work crews began to work in Wakefield last week to finish the construction of the World War II Memorial in Wakefield Center.
While they were working on the town common on Friday, Oct. 21, they helped the Wakefield Garden Club plant flowers to help spruce up the Welcome to Wakefield sign.
The crews are managed by the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office.
The memorial will be dedicated on November 11, 2011.

How do people feel about inmates working in their community? Do people feel this a good rehabilitation process, or are there other ways the state should be managing its prisoners?
