Unwanted Characters At The Door, On The Porch, Outside In A Minivan

Information provided by Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, January 17th, 2013.
At 8:12 a.m. a motorist reported striking the train gate on Broadway because of icy road conditions.
At 12:44 p.m. a caller reported that a man in a blue minivan had been apparently casing a house near Benedetto Circle and Roosevelt Road and then backed out and drove off when approached by the homeowner.

At 2:45 p.m. a woman on Jefferson Road reported that man in a black sweatshirt with a scar on his forehead and blood on his knuckles was sitting on her porch. Her son asked him to leave and the man headed toward Wakefield Ave. Nobody matching the description was spotted.
At 2:50 p.m. police were informed by bank personnel of an impaired customer in the lobby. A relative came to pick the individual up.
At 5:21 p.m. police took a call from Wharton Park where a woman said a strange man who appeared to be writing in a manila envelope had come up to her front door, walked around back, and then driven away.
At 6:52 p.m. police arrested Jessica D. Plant, 19, 7 Janice Lane, Stoneham, for possession of a class A drug, subsequent offense, possession of a class B drug, possession of a class E drug, and operating at a speed greater than reasonable and proper.
At 6:56 p.m. the K9 unit did a demonstration for the Boy Scouts.
