Two Laptops Reported Stolen In Separate Incidents
Information provided by Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, October 22, 2012.
At 7:36 a.m., a citizen walked in to report a stolen laptop.
At 7:48 a.m., a woman reported that a livery vehicle had almost forced her off the road while driving near Main Street and Lowell Street. A BOLO was given to the police units but the vehicle was not located.
At 2:23 p.m., the K9 unit was called to check a car that was stopped near Prospect Street and Sheffield Road. A small quantity of marijuana was found and disposed of.
At 3:03 p.m., a man reported the attempted theft of his motorcycle from his garage on Laurel Street.
At 3:40 p.m., a caller reported a possible stolen wallet on Lawrence Street. There was no sign of forced entry to the building.
At 4:02 p.m., a caller reported that her laptop had been stolen.
At 4:30 p.m., a woman reported that she was bitten by a poodle on Greenwood Street. The dog was reportedly up to date on all shots.
At 4:37 p.m., a caller reported that a man on a bicycle was struck by a car. He reportedly pedaled away uninjured.
At 10:05 p.m., police took a report involving possible harassment by a landlord.
At 10:11 p.m., a caller reported that a man on Bartley Street appeared to be stealing gas out of vehicles. Nobody was found in the area.

Where are the laptops being stolen from? Homes? Businesses? Cars? If these crimes are happening in a certain pattern, that kind of information would be helpful to know.
